Selling your Aston Martin
| Terms and Conditions | referred to | ![]() |
| Title | The DVLA Registration document (V5) is not proof of ownership. It is the seller’s responsibility to provide full verification of ownership. | |
| Insurance | Byron International sales staff are comprehensively insured for driving and demonstration purposes but the seller must maintain his own insurance cover during the representation period. | |
| Period of Agreement | This agreement will continue in effect until terminated by either party giving the other 14 days written notice when outstanding expenses will be immediately payable. | |
| Transport / Storage / Security | If viewing facilities are available the vehicle may remain at the seller’s address or with an appointed storage agent. Alternatively Byron International will arrange transportation at the seller’s expense by purpose-built, enclosed, and unmarked car transporter. Once cleaned, the vehicle will be protected by a purpose-made cover, securely locked, and the battery isolated and it will not be released to a buyer until the seller has received cleared funds from the buyer. | |
| Advertising | Due to several block-booking arrangements with publishers for page, half page and classified advertisements, very advantageous price agreements for advertising are maintained. An inventory of vehicles for sale through Byron International is available at www.allastonmartin.com Our inventory is also regularly circulated to previous enquirers and other potential buyers as part of the representation service. In the event of the seller receiving a direct approach from a prospective buyer or another agent he will immediately notify Philip Jones of Byron International. | |
| Expenses | These will be kept to a minimum wherever possible and the seller’s permission will be sought in advance for any individual proposed cost in excess of £100 + VAT. Administration costs normally average between £150 and £200. Advertising is charged as an average at £70.00 per month. Insurance will be charged at the rate of .03p per day per £1,000 of cover if the vehicle is lodged with Byron International on their premises during the period of representation. | |
| Sub-Agencies | Unless otherwise directed by the seller, Byron International may, at his discretion and at no additional cost to the seller, refer the vehicle to other carefully selected agents or intermediaries. | |
| Commission | The commission and VAT at the current rate will become payable upon the seller committing to a contract for sale of the vehicle to a buyer introduced by Philip Jones during the period of representation or answering advertising placed by him during that period. It will be charged on the full sale price including any additional sum agreed for a Cherished Registration Mark. An account for the commission will be presented for settlement from the sale price on the date agreed for completion of the sale and may be deducted from any deposit monies received by Philip Jones from the buyer when committing to the purchase. |
